A 50th Anniversary soiree during an annual family reunion – the perfect time for a party, right? Not in 2020! The recent pandemic challenges, even with close family members, made us think twice about our party design and layout. Guests were directed to enter in one door via the outdoor porch to grab food from the buffet. Then leave through another for proper social distancing. When possible, food was packaged individually, and extra utensils were available, so serving ware wasn’t reused. Tables were scattered throughout the upper and lower decks, and around the backyard, offering enough space for all to eat. A little extra thought provided the right amount of responsible details for a lovely evening on the water!
