2020 has been a year for thinking outside of the box. Instead of large gatherings, we frequently have to modify what the typical celebration looks like. Birthdays are no exception. When Rachel’s sweet little girl Mila turned two this year, she decided to throw a “drive-by” party instead of the traditional backyard shindig. She ordered a large “happy birthday” sign to place in the yard. Then at a specific time, all of Mila’s friends and family drove by honking their horn, yelling happy birthday, and waving. As a thank you for making the drive, guests were given thank you gifts, which consisted of a toy and a delicious Publix cupcake. After the cars started to make their way home, the immediate family went inside to enjoy a more intimate celebration. Local Revival coordinated the cake table and birthday decor. Rachel requested everything be simple this year. So we hired Tampa Type to customize banners and a unique t-shirt for the birthday girl that went along with the theme “Mila is TWO SWEET” (which she is!) Mila had a wonderful day, as well as did all the guests. Even though the party looked different this year, it definitely turned out to be a sweet success!
